5 Days Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Safari

Day 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast in the morning our guide/driver will pick you from you hotel/airport. He will brief you about the entire safari before you proceed quite a long journey of about 5-6 hours’ drive to queen Elizabeth national park, the most popular park in Uganda with 100 species of mammals, 10 primates and 606 species of birds as you proceed you have a stopover at igongo cultural Centre for lunch and some crafts later you will head to the park. On arrival you will go for an evening game drive before you check in at your choice of accommodation for refreshment, diner and overnight.

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have breakfast early morning then get ready for the real adventure, head out for a morning game drive through the kasenyi sector in search of the lion before they go to their hideouts, kasenyi plains are marvelous sightings for large herds of antelopes, buffalos, elephants among others. Then also though the mweya peninsula the best place to track the leopards plus the magnificent views of the rwenzori mountain beside that expect to see various animals like the jackals, hyenas, Uganda kob, different bird species among others.

After the game drive return back to the lodge for lunch and get ready for the amazing boat cruise at the kazinga channel a home hippos in Africa, while on boat you will see large herds of ephants, buffalos and man animals drinking water at the edge. The kazinga channel is a magnet for water birds with great flocks of pelicans, fish eagle among others. Our driver/guide will be waitng for you to return to the lodge for refreshment, diner and overnight.

Day 3: Ishasha- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

After breakfast in the morning receive your parked lunch and transfer to bwindi impenetrable national park through the ishasha sector you will have a game drive at this sector in search of the tree climbing lions among others will be herds of antelopes, elephants, buffalos etc. later you proceed for a 2 hours’ drive to bwindi impenetrable national park. On arrival check-in at your preferred accommodation relax ,diner and overnight.

Day 4 – Gorilla Tracking.

After enjoying your breakfast get ready for the long awaited activity today (gorilla trekking). Drive to the headquarters of the park for briefing about gorilla trekking, you will be provided with a trained ranger to guide you while trekking the primates though it might take quite a long time to track the gorillas ranging from 2-8 hours but once you come across the family of the gorillas a smile will come around your face because you will have 1 hour with the primates taking pictures and studying its day to day lifestyle. Depending on the duration of the track you can either relax in the afternoon or decide visit the communities to explore their culture.

Remember trekking is done in muddy, sloppy and steep areas so you may need to have jungle boots, umbrellas or rain coat in case of weather change.

Day 5: travel back to Kampala/Entebbe.

Have breakfast and drive back to Kampala with your parked lunch through mbarara to enjoy the views of the ankole long-horned cattle, as you proceed you will have a stopover at the equator for pictures and interact with village people ,purchase some drums, crafts and souvenirs. You will arrive Kampala late in the afternoon and our driver will drop you at your preferred drop point.
